Rossoneri give Ancelotti an extension
Milan, Italy (Sports Network) - AC Milan extended the contract of coach Carlo Ancelotti until the summer of 2007.

Ancelotti has been at the San Siro since 2001, when he came over from Serie A rival Juventus. He led AC Milan to the Serie A title and Italian Super Cup in the last few months. Ancelotti also guided the Rossoneri to a Champions League triumph the previous season.

"It took us just a second," Ancelotti explained of coming to terms with the team.

The 45-year-old Italian had a deal until 2005, but the club's management rewarded the likable coach with an additional two years of security.
