Have you guys seen this kid play yet?

He was one of the stars in this weekends MLS showcase game involving Becks and mates against the RedBulls.

What a game btw. A 5-4 thriller with Juan Pablo Angel, Clint Mathis (USA's version of Rui Costa only if he had his head straight), Becks, Donovan, Pavon all putting on a quality offensive display.

However the 17 yr old Jozy Altidore, put up two stupendous goals, along with embarrassing that week LA defense, minus Xavier. It's a shame he didn't play in this game.

That's who Benfica should sign next season....Jozy Altidore. Kid's a star waiting to happen. A phenom.

There was indeed a conspiracy to have Benfica and Braga challenge for the title until the last week of the season. There was also a conspiracy against Sporting to keep them out of 1st place by 26 points. The conspiracy is about to be revealed in a public judicial forum soon enough. It's hasn't anything to do with Golden whistles, but with Golden Showers, as Sporting Administration and coaching have conspired to piss all over themselves this season.-RedEagle

Jozy is going to be a better player than Adu and more of an impact to any team he joins. He also won't go for $2 million. By the time he is 18yrs old he is going to go for a lot more than that, he also won't be as "unknown" as he is now.

Jozy is on the front page of Yahoo Sports today and he will be on the cover of Fifa 2008 with Ronaldinho

Right before the U-20 tournament, CCN had an article on Altidore claiming HE was the main threat, not Adu, on the USA team.

I just hope he doesn't turn out to be another Eddie Johnson.
