UEFA Coaches conference

They proposed some interesting changes. What do you think?
------------------------------------------------------------
Calendar worries
The coaches put forward their worries to UEFA about fixture congestion, for example, when double-headed international matches, the second on a Wednesday, are followed by a domestic match on Saturday and a Champions League game the following Tuesday. "The calendar is difficult for our club colleagues to cope with," Roxburgh said.

Buying one day
"The club coaches would like to see the national teams play their double-headers on a Saturday and a Tuesday. This would buy one day, and that one day could make an enormous difference, especially for people travelling from South America, Africa or Australia. Many of the international players may not be fit to play [a domestic match] on the following Saturday, when they are travelling back on a Thursday. It is an ongoing discussion, although the club coaches also realise the need to care for national teams."

Nine substitutes
The coaches also promoted the idea of nine substitutes on the bench for UEFA club matches, instead of the current seven, as this would give sides the opportunity to place additional locally-trained players in a 20-man squad. "This would give coaches the chance to put a couple of young, homegrown players on the bench, and give them experience either by being on the bench or being brought on during the game," said Roxburgh.

Referee co-operation
In addition, there was a request from the coaches that away goals should not count double in extra time in UEFA club matches
------------------------------------------------------------

I think they should also have asked to abolish the February and November friendlies in non-tournament years, and do away with the August friendly altogether.

I have mixed feeling on the away goal rule.

The away goal rule in general? Or what they're proposing?
