Hajduk v Liverpool - CL

Looks like Hajduk will be playing Liverpool. Hajduk gets the winner of Liverpool and FK Rabotnicki.

draw is not until friday.

hajduk is in the pool of unseeded teams that might play liverpool should they advance into the second round where they (liverpool) will be seeded.

hajduk was previously to be seeded before uefa allowed liverppol in as a seeded team. they were the ones that got the bump - though, some teams got bumped into another round entirely because of it, which is far worse.

i don't want hajduk to play liverpool...

here's one you can read over -

and maybe now you can check your assumption about a win.

Hopefully we can draw Maccabi, Debrecen, Vaalerenga, or maybe even Partizan! I think we could take any of these teams as long as Ciro gets our boys prepared. Oh I forgot to mention Rapid Vienna in that list, I think we could take them as well. I know one thing is for sure, I'll be biting my nails Friday morning!

I"m not a Hajduk nor a big Dinamo fan but putting that aside with Ciro running things and a Big IF Stimac leaves him alone I think Split can do something. I know a lot of you hate Biscan but with him gone and a few other players this Liverpool team is not the same team that won the CL. They are beatable.

Can you imagine how good Niko will be once Ciro takes him under his wing and installs some more confidence in him.

Defeating Liverpool will boost their confidence sooo much that I see nothing but clear sailing for Hajduk.

But then I have been wrong before

Licki, first I have to say, I wish I was as confident as you. Anyway, I do not want to play Liverpool at all costs as I believe our boys would shit themselves at Anfield and probably get slaughtered. I also don't want Celtic or Dinamo Kiev for that matter. If we had a choice between those 3 I'd take Celtic. Anderlecht out of the bigger teams wouldn't be bad, and maybe CSKA Sofia, although I never like when we have to travel far east. The ideal draw as I stated above would be Maccabi or Debrecen.

Why would they shit themselves? If they can play in Zagreb in front of those lunatic maniac BBB then Im pretty sure they can play at Liverpool.

If you want to be a Champ then you cant have other teams do your battles.
Guys Liverpool is not a good team, the only reason they won is because their regulars got injured and the subs were playing.
Take the game against Juve, the best player in that series was Igor and yet he did not play in the final game. I tell you if Biscans assignment was to mark say Savchenko well by golly I bet you our Ukrajinski bratko would be lucky if he got one shot on goal.
Thats why Liverpool was down 3-0 at half because they had all their regulars playing.

You cant go into the CL and have the Baric mentality and fear every team and pray you get this team or that one so that you can go one extra round and collect a few bread crumbs of the prize $$$$. If its one thing that old goat Ciro can do is he will motivate Hajduk, he will make Lions out of those Lambs

P.S. Not that there is any thing wrong with being a moranic BBB fan

How in the world is Zrinjski seeded in the first qualifying round and Hajduk is an unseeded team? I'm sure Ero is loving life.

i'd rather be unseeded in teh second round than seeded in the first - it's one less round to play and you'll still have to play the same batch of seeded 2nd round teams in the 2nd round.

and robin, agreed across the board.

CSKA Sofia is in the seeded list for the 2nd round. i really hope we miss Hajduk and Malmo (the best among the unseeded in the 2nd round). will follow the draw live on uefa.com on friday..
