Well at least we get some games. Last year was great so many games so many venues and had fun watching some quality soccer in the middle of the summer.

MLS teams to play Chelsea, AC Milan

CHICAGO (Ticker) - English Premier League champion Chelsea FC and UEFA Champions League runner-up AC Milan will play in a four-match series with defending MLS Cup champion DC United and the Chicago Fire in the 2005 World Series of Football.

The event will take place in Massachusetts, Chicago, Washington and New Jersey from July 24-31.

"American soccer fans around the country will eagerly look forward to this opportunity for MLS clubs to match up against two of the world's superpowers," MLS commissioner Don Garber said.


Chelsea FC and AC Milan will kick off and close the World Series of Football with two showdowns - Sunday, July 24 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts and Sunday, July 31 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

AC Milan will head to Chicago to play the Fire at Soldier Field on Wednesday, July 27. The following day, Chelsea will play D.C. United at Fedex Field in Washington.
