ZAGREB, Croatia (AP) - Fans of soccer club Dinamo Zagreb invaded a training session and stripped the team's players of their jerseys, claiming they were not worthy of representing its colours, police said Tuesday.

About 50 fans, wearing masks over their heads, ran onto the pitch late Monday and demanded the jerseys, saying they would be returned once the players showed they deserve them in future matches, police said in a statement.

The jerseys were handed over without resistance.

None of the players or coaching staff wanted to comment on the incident.

Dinamo, one of the country's most decorated clubs, is off to a poor start to the season, languishing near the relegation zone in eighth place with 14 points. League leader Inter has 22.

Dinamo already has fired its first coach of the season, and there have been increasing calls for the management board to collectively resign.

I saw an article on the Toronto Sun this morning saying the BBB has issued their final warning on players who they believe do not deserve to wear the Dinamo colours, these letters were supposebly given to journalists of Sportske Novosti.
