What's the over/under on the amount of time it takes PDC to fire Fernandez and hire Camacho? If they lose points here, it's basically inevitable.

Of course, money talks, but I still think the guy's got some of that old fashioned class of a gentleman. Color me blind.

I already have. At the last junket, I spray-painted you in green and white stripes. But due to those colored glasses of yours, you think it's a nice red hue. ;)
I'm actually not certain he'll go to Porto either. If he doesn't, I think it's more due to the fact that he's probably burnt out, as opposed to any apparent loyalty to Benfica.
Not so much out of loyalty, but more so out of professional courtesy - after all, he was under contract and left only because he always wanted the RM gig.
So, is it panic time yet?

They do suck at the moment. So do Sporting and Benfica is playing little better (Benfica has one advantage, an almost unchanged side except for Tiago and some interesting signings). :devlaug:

Not yet, only if we lose points to Benfica or Sporting. Something about Porto doesn't sit right in my mind. I feel that the players are not really looking for the open spaces the way they should, they are not pressing, and they seem not to want to go forward. And it must be said Leiria had very few opportunities to bother Baia, and even on the goal it was more Baia's mistake than a Leiria creation.

Hahahah..

I also wouldn't say it's time to panic, but how long will Fernandez test PDC's patience? When would you say it's right for him to pull the plug on Fernandez?

Like I said, until the Benfica and/or Sporting game. If we lose to them then I would consider calling it quits with Fernandez. He hasn't lost a game yet, so doing it now would be premature.
His appointment still baffles me a bit. If I'm not mistaken he coached PSG a few seasons back, and he often underachieved while having one of the better squads in France at the time.
I saw the game and the team doesn't look motivated, and the substitutions were questionable, the problem seems to be a coaching one.

The way the team looks right now, we are going to get spanked at Stanford Bridge, but the will not be reason enough to get rid of Fernandez just yet.

For what it's worth, this will be the only occasion I hope Porto doesn't get spanked but achieves some success.
Excuse me now while I go hit the showers after typing that statement.

You can hope all you want, but I will keep my expectations very low 3-0 Chelsea.

I don't think it will be that. Mourinho doesn't seem to be the type of cat that would take it out on Porto that bad. Then again, Machado should keep his mouth shut on his criticism of him or he's in for it......

1) Jóse Mourinho had almost half a season to put his team together when he arrived...
2) Looking at the average ages of the current Porto Squad, Fernandez has his work cut out for him. But when he does manage to put order to the somewhat unruly Porto football, Porto has players that are going to be around for a long time.
3) Haven´t starting panicing yet because nothing in the Sporting and Benfica Results up to now give me reason to worry.
4) With the start to the season I suppose I was overly optimistic to think that Fernandez would walk in and suddenly the side would be playing excellent football. Like all good things in life it takes time.
So for me, Fernandez still has my vote... :thumbup2:
