Dont know how many of you guys have a glance at the BiH PL from time to time so I thought Id make another of these threads to keep some of the forumers updated.
Mainly because weve had a fantastic start, and have a team capable of taking it all.
Zrinjski celebrates 100 years this season, and a title, our first, would be the best present to the faithful fans who stood by their club through thick and thin...15 new players and an attacking game have produced results.
We started the campaign with a 2-0 victory over FK Sarajevo, and it was just the beggining of a great run for Zrinjski. In a league where away points are as rare as biseri, weve collected 6 from 2 games.

yes but unfortunately, they punchured the only ball in Imotski in 1992 and havent played soccer there since....shame :)

Nice pic.
Bravo to the ultrasi of Vinkovci. They are at every NT game whether it is home or away. Great effort from a small group.

Yeah, I always see that banner at the games no matter where the NT plays, they even go to all the U21 matches as well. :rock3:

ho ho ho. We were at every game when Zrinjski was finishing 11th, and all of last season I had a thread up, when Zrinjski finished 9th....

You reckon Modric is better than Kranjcar? The problem with Modric is he is tiny and can get pushed off the ball. He needs a little more strength but then again, he is only 19. Other than that he is class.
We will see next year when Modric will finally get a chance at Dinamo. :wallbang:

im part bosnian my deda was from bosnia fc sarajevo was his team a it is mine but good to see Zrinjski Mostar doing well too
some current events. We drew at home to the 11 man defense of FK Modrica, and then we lost 2-1 in the derby against Zeljo in Sarajevo, where our fans got right pissed off at the uprava and decided to discontinue the work of the ultras. We are 2nd on the ljestvica at the moment, trainilg Zeljeznicar by 4 points.
They will meet to hopefully sort something out. Zrinjski is still playing really well though, and injury problems will surely be overcome.

The PL has finished for the winter with 4 more games outstanding, to be played this wednesday. Zrinjski is on top with 30 points...but Zeljos 2 behing with a game in hand.
here's some pics from Orasje-Zrinjski in Bosna, we drove 2 and a half hours accross Slavonija to posavina to see us win 1-3.

great game, but the Federal media were screaming set up after seeing the results. We then beat Celik and Leotar at home to take full points after the crap Siroki game in Mostar, I went to that one as well, 10,000 people and some of the roughest football Ive ever witnessed.

i would love to see bosnian clubs do better and better. this year, however, no good impression left after the matches of Zelejnicar and Modrica vs. Litex (agg. 1:9) and Levski (agg. 0:8) respectively :punch:

Looks like Ero is back in Oz...poor guy must be depressed. But, at least he had a great 3 months in Hrvatska. Of course, most of his time was spent in Imotski. :angel:
im back in oz now, and I am depressed as hell.
They live better in Croatia there guys, you may not have a big house or a big car, but people are happier, care free.

Tommorow we travel to Srpsko Sarajevo (Lukavica really) to play Slavija, a newly promoted young team, but a strong one too.
In the cup, Zrinjski, and Slavija, are in the semi finals. We lost 3-0 to celik in the quaters in Zenica, only to beat them 3-0 at home and win on penalties...

The Celik fans deserve a better team.
You really think Zrinjski can go all the way?
What is the standard like compared to HNL?
This Zrinjski would be a mid table team in the HNL.
Bloody oath, I don't just think, I'm 90% sure we will win, the double, unless Sarajevo intervention with various referees on our travels interferes...like it did in Orasje where we had to beat 11 players and 3 refs.
Zrinjski has bought everyone worth buying, they have excellent sponsors in BiH's biggest company, Aluminij Mostar, and the fans flock to the tune of 7.500 people per home game. Make that 20,000 against Zeljo coming up and even more if that's the decider...

Siroki are also doing very well, they are third in the league, and I agree with D11, Celik deserve better, great supporters and in return they get a team fighting against relegation when many stated that they would be fighting for a spot in Europe. :dontkn:

haha, funny story here - my bro went to orasje game and he said he met two guys from NZ there... I was like... ero? he was like...how do you know?

p.s. saw the parts of game vs Slavija, ohohoho, what a steal by refs... You could see clearly that first penalty for Slavija didnt exist, and their 2nd goal was very deep offside...
