Dear Terri,
I’m writing this from a lonely fishing lodge up in Montana. The past few weeks have been so empty and hollow with us not together.
I know the counselor said we shouldn’t contact each other during our ‘cooling off’ period, but I couldn’t wait anymore. The day you left, I swore I’d never talk to you again. But that was just the wounded little boy in me talking. Still, I never wanted to be the first one to make contact. In my fantasies it was always you who would come crawling back to me. I guess my pride needed that. But now I see that my pride’s cost me a lot of things. I’m tired of pretending I don’t miss you. I don’t care about looking bad anymore. I don’t care who makes the first move as long as one of us does. Maybe it’s time we let our hearts speak as loudly as our hurt. And this is what my heart says… "There’s no one like you, Terri."
I look for you in the eyes & breasts of every woman I see, but they’re not you. They’re not even close. Two weeks ago I met this woman at the Rainbow Room and brought her home with me. I don’t say this to hurt you, but just to illustrate the depth of my desperation. She was young, Terri, maybe 19, with one of those perfect bodies that only youth and maybe a childhood spent ice skating can give you. I mean, just a perfect body. Tits you wouldn’t believe and an ass like a tortoise shell and skin like baby powder rubbed on a soft inflated balloon. Every man’s dream, right?
But as I sat on the couch being blown by this coed I thought, look at the stuff we’ve made important in our lives. It’s all so superficial. What does a perfect body mean? Does it make her better in bed? Well, in this case, yes. But you see what I’m getting at? Does it make her a better person? Does she have a better heart than my moderately attractive Terri? I doubt it. And I’d never really thought of that before. I don’t know, maybe I’m growing up a little.
Later, after I’d tossed her about a pint of throat yogurt, I found myself thinking. "Why do I feel so drained and empty?" It wasn’t just her flawless technique or her slutty, shameless hunger for my bodily fluids, but something else. Some niggling feeling of loss. Why did it feel so incomplete? And then it hit me. It didn’t feel the same because you weren’t there, Terri, to watch. Do you know what I mean? Nothing feels the same without you, baby. My God, Terri, I’m just going crazy without you.
And everything I do just reminds me of you. Do you remember Carol, that single mom we met at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church? Well, she drops by last week with a pan of lasagna. She said she figured I wasn’t eating right without a woman around. I didn’t know what she meant until later, but that’s not the real story. Anyway, we have a few glasses of wine and the next thing you know we’re fucking in our old bedroom. And this lady’s a total monster in the sack. She’s giving me everything, you know like a real woman does when she’s not hung up about God and her career and whether the kids can hear us. And all of a sudden she spots that tilting mirror on your grandmother’s old vanity. So she puts it on the floor and we straddle it, right, so we can watch ourselves. And it is totally hot, but it makes me sad, too. ‘Cause I can’t help thinking, "Why didn’t Terri ever put the mirror on the floor? We’ve had this old vanity for what, 14 years, and we never used it as a sex aid." (Some of this I thought about later.) You know what I mean? What happened to our spontaneity? You get so caught up in the routine of a marriage you just lose sight of each other. And then you lose yourself. That’s the saddest part of all for me.
But I keep thinking we can get it back. I know we can, because I only want this stuff with you. Saturday, your sister drops by with my copy of the restraining order. I mean, Shannon’s just a kid and all, but she’s got a pretty good head on her shoulders. She’s been a real friend to me during this painful time. She’s given me lots of good counsel about you and about women in general. (She’s pulling for us to get back together, Terri. She really is.)
So we’re drinking wine in the hot tub and talking about happier times. Here’s this unselfish girl with the same DNA as you (although, let’s face it, she got an extra helping of the sex gene) and all I can do is think of how much she looks like you when you were 20. And that just about makes me cry.
And then it turns out Shannon’s really into the whole doggy style thing and that gets me to thinking about how many times I pressured you about trying it and how that probably fueled some of the bitterness between us. But do you see how even then, when I’m thrusting inside the steaming Dutch oven of your sister’s hot wetness, all I can do is think of you? It’s true baby. In your heart you know it.
Don’t you think we could start over? Just wipe out all the grievances and start fresh? I think we can. I keep thinking that I think if you’d just try it, I wouldn’t have to pressure you so much. Because who needs all that bitterness, Terri. It just tears us apart and I can’t be apart from you. In a few weeks when I am back from fishing we should do our best to meet and talk about it.
Because I love you.

I cant remember where i found it, so i cant reference. Its quite amusing though. :)

BEN means (I) AM.
It is a mobile phone provider and they always commercialize like that, so we have billboards with e.g. BEN schaatser [I am a skater] or BEN bezig [I am busy] etc etc
so this billboard was modified into I AM JUGO :D

Monte i want to continue that discussion we had on xtratime, the one about schools. Please reply.
Ok..
so my opinion is,
I don't see any problem in the French plan about forbidding hijabs, jewish headcovers and crucifixes/other religious symbols (when they are out of proportion) at public schools.
My argument is that this plan concerns public schools only, which are schools that are not based on a religious background (if "public school" is the right translation in English for the term I've read in the paper!) I once lived in a town with 7 schools, only 1 of these was public (and I went there ;) ) so it's a minority of schools in France too I'd guess, not sure though. You know, if I were a member of the French parliament I wouldn't have asked for such a plan but I don't see a big problem in it either since the people have the final say in choosing a school that fits their wants best.
You know what I find a worse rule? That a catholic school has the right to refuse me because of the fact that I am not a catholic! This right exists where I live and probably in other countries as well. In this case I am being denied the education I might want and hence that choice is not open to me.
Not that catholic schools use this right anymore, or at least not often, but I've heard about jewish schools that do (and the islamic ones as well).
why did you go offline ? You could have come on msn as well ... :D
talk to you later caos ;)

Well your argument is flawed. Public schools should cater for everyone. This is just a pathetic attempt by the french government to get people to choose private schools over public ones(thus lowering its financial responsibility. Down here 70% of students go to public schools.
No thats not true. (Once again "public school" might be the wrong translation from Dutch to English although I doubt it)
For example, the way it works over here, a school by the name of St Johns is most probably a Christian school, but still open to anyone (Although they have the right to refuse non Christians which hardly ever occurs anymore like I said) So it's not a public school, instead it's called 'special education' It has exactly the same financial burdens and quite frankly the other differences are so small that they're almost negligable to me.
A public school is open to anyone in France, though they don't wish to see clear expression of religion anymore. It doesn't mean one can't go there if one is religious. Wearing a crucifix e.g. is still allowed, but not if it's size Ozzy Osbourne. A private school is something totally else. To me a private school refers to an "elite" school, which is expensive and has small, select classes.
French schools aren't that bad in general, they even have the rule that every kid should get a warm meal in the afternoon!

Pfffft... if only it were that simple ;) .
It's only complicated for those who want to see it that way. Do you perhaps consider my view to be a simplistic one? ;) I would like to see your arguments as well, I thought you wanted to discuss :D
A second question of mine is, are the symbols in question really religious or aren't they? Let's take the hijab for example, several people say that the Kor'an does not say that muslim women should cover their head at all. Some mates of mine from the Mid East say the same thing. If this is true, then why is this attribute still considered a religious expression? Isn't it a cultural phenomenon instead? If the Koran does not say this, then why are muslim girls and women still allowed to wear the headcover in class, but are kids that wear a cap because they have a hiphop/basket lifestyle supposed to take it off?
:tong:
PS
I took the hijab as an example because I am pretty sure the French government came up with this plan because of the hijab issue. Not because of the crucifix or jewish headcover since A) How many people actually wear a huge crucifix and B) Jews that wear a headcover are usually the stronger believers and would go to a Jewish school anyway, not a public one.

You dont get it do you. You are not allowing freedom of religious expression (which is a right under the french constitution and human rights conventions). The hajib may not be mandatory but what about the Sikhs?
For example, you cannot wear a bandanna if it is a religious statement but you can wear one if it is a fashion statement. Stupidity!!!

Why do you make these "you dont get it, if only it were that simple, I don't think that you get it either... ' statements so often B? ;) Come on, that's a little disrespectful, , I'm not asking you to agree on anything I'm just trying to explain my opinion.
I very well know that freedom of religious expression is a right that should be valued. I feel that this right doesn't get (extremely) violated by this plan. Besides, do you know the French legal system enough to say that they are violating anything at all? As I said, in NL schools have a lot of rights that can have a wide impact if they were used all the time. The Sikh issue is a good point though :tong: I saw them in the demonstrations too and must admit I feel a little sorry for them. (Bandannas allowed?!?!? no wayyy :D)
It's pretty nice weather over here, about 7 degrees....But I'll be back to Serbia pretty soon so I hope to find a more acceptable temperature of 10 degrees over there :tong:  :(

Tell what is it like over there. Economy wise. You can post your reply in the other thread. ;)
Economy wise?! Ok you like bad news first I guess ;) I don't know when your last visit was but lets say that everyone I met has enough money to dress nicely, own a car to take me out, buy me food and drinks :D  stubborn folks ;) but SCG is not western (enough). Roads for example still need fixing (they do get it but not enough) and expansion IMO. Overall, it still needs a lot of improvement which starts with the people's attitudes ;(
Anyway I had a very nice time, Serbs always do their best to give you a good time. I got a little emotional inside when I had to go again but oh well summer isn't far away ;)
Besides, Ser CG really needs her intelligent and educated children! We, or maybe it's better to say they, need to build a country that has perspective.
It's so sad to see radicalism, or peasantry... we need a democracy and wealth so badly, it's wrong to turn to our pride everytime. Not even discussing what exactly it is that Mladic and Karadzic did during the war, for the sake of their own people alone they should go to the Hague on their own which might open doors for Serbia, then again it might not but we should try to arrange things that way that we at least can't point the finger at ourselves saying we didn't even try. I don't care if anyone disagrees with me about Mladic/Karadzic it's easy to be a "proud serb" somewhere in the diaspora but don't forget the people there, they actually have to live in the country thats dear to us all.

Someone is trying to be funny again ;) No of course it wasn't but compared to present day Croatia and (in particular) Slovenia, we have a lot of work ahead of us. But now you can again tell me that this was the case in the FYR as well :D What else can I say about the economy B, simple things such as roads point out the situation very well. The police do drive in nice new Peugeots 306's though :D What else do you want to know... ?
I am also against a circus but it could open financial/relational doors to Serbia Montenegro and since this court is what they wanted, well, they can have it (they can't take it though) but please let our people live respectfully and not in isolation, that's what I wish for ;)
