Not the Sporting one, but the Beira Mar one.

Central midfielder, good offensive player. Good player, not big 3 quality though. But maybe he'll blossom.

This is just plain stupid, signing players before they even have a coach. I'm all for signing new players, but it should be done with the direction of the new coach.

I guess if Porto jumped out of a window, we'd quickly follow.

And this surprises you how?

I've been a fan of his since he was with Paços Ferreira. Solid box-to-box midfielder who can score goals. Considering how thin Benfica's roster is, he'll be a huge upgrade over the Paulo Almeida/Everson/Bruno Aguiar trio. Benfica will have a viable alternative for M. Fernandes when he's hurt/suspended.

Vision, long-term planning, strategy, organization etc...these are things that us Portuguese people will never have.

I'm a tad bit disappointed Pila.

...these things a Jedi does not seek...

(yeah, I just saw Episode III...I admit it - the final 1/3 of the movie might have been among the best 30/45 minutes of the entire series/on a par with Luke/Darth's battle in Empire. Really well done)

Thank You Raxor!

Any negative review of that movie is due to a dislike of the series/genre/creator. Outside of the painful seasons between Darth and Natalie Portman, and when she names the twins on the fly ("His name is bish-com-cojon.......NO! His name is Luke) the movie is what it was supposed to be- fun.

Agreed - if you go to see a Star Wars film to be awed by acting instead of special effects, then you have larger issues that I just can't help you with.

That was sort of bizarre the way she tossed out the names..

Padme: ...arghhhh....pant, pant, pant.......Luke......

...arghhhhh.....pant, pant.....

ObiWan: it's a girl!

Padme: yeah, yeah...Leia...<straightline>

I changed all of my access passwords at work this AM to "Order 66". The whole way that went down was badass, the Mace/Sidious battle was sweet, and even though some of the Jedi went down like chumps, I still loved it.

One last point: I know that the whole six-movie story is supposed to be the whole Anakin biography, but ObiWan might be my favorite character in the entire series after the perspective of last night. Metaphors aside ("Don't Anakin! I've got the high ground!" following the thinly veiled W. editorial ("If you're not with me, you're my enemy...aka "you're against me")), I thought the ObiWan/Anakin battle was just phenomenal. You knew how it was going to end, but I was still impressed.

I really enjoyed Star Wars - it was very good and I thought they did a great job with it. It isn't easy to link up so well with the other movies, but I think they succeeded pretty well.

Also, I nearly had a heart-attack when I saw the thread title. Can't say I know THIS Beto too well, but at least he isn't that other, really horrible, Beto.

I think Anakin pre-robotics/post Obi-Wan asskicking could outrun Sporting's Beto.

As could R2D2. Speaking of which, I didn't know that little sucker packed an afterburner. :fire:

Saw it yesterday - loved it! Thought the whole Anakin-to-Vader process was a littel silly how he went from being confused and on the fence to selling out to the dark side with so littel fanfare. But who cares, the action and the special effects were FANTASTIC!

Loved the opening scene especially - kind of reminiscent of Leia's rescue from the original.
