Bojinov is supposed to be back for the game with Messina!

(according to a viola fan-site, and an automatic translation from
ita to eng :))

that would be great. i think it's just like the doctors had predicted - somewhere about mid-April (the match vs Messina is on Apr 17). our boy said that he wouldn't play until he was fully recovered, so i'm assuming he almost is. so anxious to see him prosper again and score for Fiorentnia his 2nd, 3rd goal and so on.... :winkg:

i do believe this is the right team for him coz Lecce are not a team that can stand up to their current favorable status in Serie A for too long. they simply don't have the resources for that. when they sold Valeri, they admitted it - "We can't afford to keep him at this price." :greed: i mean that even with Zdenek Zeman, Lecce is not Juventus and will eventually fall, i'm happy that Valeri won't be there when that happens.

as for Fiorentina, this is a team with traditions that has got some young players eager to prove themselves on the field! in the upcoming few years, they will try to reestablish themselves as a top Serie A team. is there a better opportunity for Bojinov than to be the central forward of the team that is expected to prosper most in whole Europe in the next years? :yeldance: damn, i would choose that instead of offers from Chelsea and Juventus. they will come again later, he has to mature first. for now, Italy is the best place for him coz he has got used to italian football. Valeri made the best possible choice. now i want to see him score again with the purple shirt! :bounce:

actually, i have seen him in very few matches (coz i'm in the States), and yesterday downloaded some of his goals in the fall - they are fabulous!! especially against Inter. now i can see where he got that popularity from, though i always knew he was in no way overrated.

I am also very glad that he stayed in Serie A. And in Fiorentina.
He will get to play and will develop. He is a forward, and the
Italian league is possibly the hardest one to score in in the world.

I have watched Valeri for the past 2 years (they have shown a
lot of Lecce's games on canal+ in Sweden). He has developed a
lot. What a great striker for the NT! People say, "now we know who
will play with Berbatov" - I would turn that around - "we will see
who will play with Bojinov". I so hope that he is in good shape
when Hrvatska comes to Sofia!

Looking forward for your first game after the injury Valeri!!! :frog1: :frog1:

Bibi, do you think he deserved the 13 million euro Fiorentina paid for him? Palermo had offered 12 million, and when they lost to La Viola Palermo's president exclaimed: "The market has gone mad!", meaning that Bojinov's price had also suffered a significant artificial rise. :greed:

this is much money! hadn't it been for the interest of Juve, Roma, Inter, Palermo, Barca, Chelsea and CSKA Moscow, it would've been much less, i think. that is, the price corresponding only to our boy's abilities and goals scored. :rollani:

Of course he is worth the money. He is unique. He has already made
more goals than Stoichkov did for a whole season in Parma! And he has
made only one of them on a free-kick (I think), the rest from play.

Fiorentina will make some big $$$ when they sell him in 2-3 years...

lol, it wasn't exactly Ico's strong side playing in Italy. :embarass: Valeri, however, feels at home there, and will become that scoring machine once again as soon as he recovers. i repeat, haven't watched him that much, but was amazed at the little i've seen, especially coming from a 19-year-old.

Bibi, what do you think he owes this great success to? is it training like hell, the Bulgarian stubbornness, our high self-confidence or he simply has the talent for it? :strong:

Natural born "killer-instinct" :D
A few players have that... and Valeri is one of them. Also
he had the good luck to get to a good club (Lecce) early.

I belive that a lot of young Bulgarian talents get "wasted" at
home. We just don't have the football-infrastructure that the big
countries have.

according to Meridian Match, however, he is almost sure not to play against Messina and will appear vs. Bologna on Apr 24. i'm praying for one thing - Valeri, make sure you've perfectly recovered before reappearing!! :bgrin:

Amen!

(But, you know, having invested 13 big ones I think Fiorentina
will wait before they let Valeri play. This is no BG team... :D)

Forza Valeri! Samo napred!! (i da belezhish!!!)

i read in today's newspapers that Valeri is not expected to start against Milan tomorrow. well.... i guess it was expected given that after he replaced Miccoli vs Bologna, he basically didn't do anything on the pitch. our boy has got to come back to winning ways as soon as possible, why not with a late goal against the Rossoneri tomorrow? :alien:

I saw the game. Valeri played about 20 min (in at 75min).
Looked heavy, didn't move good, and had half a chance -
a shot between the legs of a defender. He is far off top form
at the moment. :(

Milan deserved to win - they scored on their chances.

oh, the game was today, i thought it was tomorrow. well, from what you are saying, nothing new 'pod slunceto' since the game vs Bologna. first, i even thought you were talking about that match. eh, whatever.... Valeri will improve soon. Bibi, have you read any interviews of his about how he is feeling in Florence. maybe he's not as happy there, as he was in Lecce, and that affects his performance? :notsure: after all, he's still so young...

Nope - have not seen an interview. He has been in the shaddows for
a few weeks. I am sure that he will be back, and hopefully he will be
in OK shape by the time we meet Croatia. We sure do need Valeri.

Well, Valeri scores again! A very important goal as
Fiorentina zaps Chievo (really Cheivo - Fiorentina, 1-2).

Valeri plays about 27min today (in for a slightly injured Pazzini).

Good 27min though judging from the Viola-homepage.

as you say, MAN O MAN!

our golden boy is back on track. can't wait for the La Viola site to be updated so that i can see the goal. :notlist:

Valeri, Berbo i Martin Petrov all score in one weekend. our Hrvatski friends should be scared shitless knowing what's to come.... :fingergr:

Shaky shaky ... will Fiorentina make it?

Only 0-0 against Atalanta at home.

Next game is Lazio away. If Viola wants
to stay in Serie A they can not afford to lose.

BBB

PS valeri played 67 min (but doesn't seem in great shape
yet). he must get fitter for the came towards CRO.
(game-pics are up on the Viola homepage).
