Liedson made it clear earlier this week that he has no interest in our seleccao, nor does he have interest in staying with Sporting any longer than he has to.

He maintains that his heart is yellow and green, staying in Portugal is preventing him from being called up to the Brazilian NT. Also, the competition isn't stiff enough for him in Portugal.
Talk amongst yourselves.

I see nothing wrong with what he said, and in fact I think it's kind of brave of him to hold out for his heart's first choice.

He wants to get out of of the Super Liga for the sake of his career, and will consider only one seleccao. I think that's the way it should be. It's why I never felt good about seeing Deco with our colours. He would've given Portugal a pass in a heartbeat if he'd had the slightest indication from Brazil that they wanted him.

Nothing wrong on my side. I was hoping he would stay with Sporting. He is a great player and capable of playing with the best in the world.

Like it or not, Sporting is a stepping stone to bigger things for foreigners; not a final destination. Liedson was an up and comer with Corinthians ( I think) in BRazil, is using Sporting as his stepping stone to Europe and will probably try to get big club call...probably from some Spanish side.

His remarks sound calous, but are nothing more than honest.
